The Robotics course at UD will provide the students with a knowledge of robotics and autonomous systems. This course will equip students to work in the industry in areas where robots can be used to improve productivity, transform transportation, work in extreme environments, and improve the quality of life.

Robotics and AI are seen as key technologies for the future and the subject of massive commercial investment. Apple, Google, Uber, Amazon, Samsung, and Facebook all have major ongoing research programs in robotics. Predictions of the worldwide economic impact of Robotics and Autonomous Systems range from US$1.7 trillion to US$4.5 trillion by 2025.
Robotics is a vast field spanning areas such as electronics, mechanics, software engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, psychology, and biology. Career opportunities include diverse professions, including the automotive industry, aerospace industry, advanced manufacturing, deep-sea exploration, space exploration, food manufacture, the health sector, pharmaceutical production, and industrial quality control.
The program provides a sound basis for those embarking on a career in research or development or taking up positions within the industry where robotics and automation are currently applied or will be applied in the future; such as industrial manufacturing, autonomous vehicles, space exploration, and underwater activities, etc. candidates with both engineering and IT backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Mahesh has over 13 years of combined experience in the technology sector in the capacity of industry professionals, researcher and faculty. He has worked with top companies and managed various technology projects in different capacities. He has experience in research and development with universities and private research organizations. The overall experience spans in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Italy, U.K, etc. He has built an expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Cognitive Science, IoT, RPA, 3D printing, Drones, Blockchain, etc.
One of the major achievements of him is winning the first prize in the world in the Self Driving Car competition in 2019 in Dubai. This is conducted by RTA
